July 19th-25th: One Down, Three To Go
I have been gone for far too long from you lovely supporters, and I can’t thank you enough for constantly checking in on me.
Im stopping in again to catch you up on things that have happened since July 4th! This last weekend, I had the ultimate pleasure of being invited on stage at Grass In the Glades by Fiddlin’ Ray Bruckman from Greensboro, PA, and Gary Antol, leader of The Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers and inventor of The Private Party in The Glades! This was my first time attending this festival (under normal circumstances, I’d be booked for a gig somewhere else, but this year I had almost the whole weekend to spend down there!) I was superbly impressed with the festival as a whole, and the folks that were down there were so kind, and everyone was aware of everyone else, and we all managed to have an awesome time listening to killer music, and it was a lovely change of pace. I hope that in the near future, more festivals will reconsider the situation and proceed with their festivities, cause there is a safe way to do things, it just requires a little bit of awareness and safety. Thank you again to Ray and Gary and Libby for all the hospitality and the opportunity to be on that amazing stage.
I did leave the festival early however, as I was also booked to play out at Missing Links Brewery with the boys from Midnight Rooster! The weather was beautiful, and the outdoor patio was bumpin’ and people sat in the parking lot watching live music, eating, drinking, talking-again, it was an awesome experience that has long been overdue in recent weeks. Luckily, I’ll be back there for an amazing event that’s coming up and that is organized around WBUT’s anniversary party! Look to Facebook for more information on that!
Recently, I finally finished up my good friend Steve Ludwig’s debut record (which I think has yet to be named-I’ll post more about it as developments are made.) This project turned out to be a wonderful one, and I thank Steve again for the opportunity to join forces to create some awesome music for him to share! Now that his project is over, I’m back on the grind with some remote session work for Angela Autumn, as well as hitting the ground running with The Millbillys record, AND I still do have plans of my own to release a record by the end of the year (hopefully.) Derails about that won’t surface until much later in the year, but Im excited to release more music for y’all!!
I have also booked some more shows, up through the middle of August, and I’d love to see your smiling faces out to see me perform! And if you can’t make it to any of the ones already scheduled, there’s something you can do! Below in the comments section, tell me where you want to see me play! Close to home, far away, north, south, east, west-you make the call! I’m looking for anytime of year from now until the end of 2021, new spaces, even newer faces, awesome cities, towns, backyards-whatever! Let me know and I’m gonna start sending out and dropping off EPs to promote and start booking!!
Finally, as I’ve said the past couple weeks, I’m still taking submissions for testimonials about your experiences with watching me, working with me, or anything pertaining to me and the music I make! In return, I’ll send you a testimonial about something you do-your job, your friendship, your art, your band, your cooking-whatever you desire! Let’s prop each other up, and that way everyone wins!
I will hopefully see y’all soon, but if I don’t, just know I’ll be in the studio, working on the next platinum seller! Wish me luck!
