April 19th-25th: Accapella Updates (and More!)

Hello blog readers! How’s everybody doing?!? I know things have been crazy all over lately, and we all just want someone to be around, but until then, here’s what I’ve been up to (which I think is pretty exciting…but I’m biased.)

This week was the release of the 2nd Accapella video I’ve been apart of, and it was a really cool one! With the help from my friends Trish Imbrogno, Josh Ingar, G. Rockwell, and Katelynn Casper, we took it upon ourselves to appease Deltopia online by recreating the song ‘Nashville Cats.’ It turned out to be a huge success, due to you lovely fans checking in on Facebook and taking a listen. If you haven’t caught the video yet, find it on the Delfest page, and on my artist page. I will also be uploading it to YouTube in the near future.

In regards to the continuation of this experiment, I’m currently working on another video, set to be posted sometime next week, which will be a request from a fan of mine. I’ll give you a little background on what it might be-it’s not a bluegrass song per say, but it has a folk connotation that I reworked for a bluegrass tune. It’s also a story song, and this one is unbelievably true! I also have other videos on deck, most notably I’ve been talking with a stellar guitar player I know from Pittsburgh, and a friend of mine that is a national touring artist, so there’s plenty of surprises coming-be sure to check back to Facebook with what’s being posted!

On Thursday, Stephanie and I hosted our 5th? livestream show from her basement. We love doing these, and I particularly like them because I’ve been forcing myself to not repeat playing songs, unless requests are made-then I gotta do it (which, by the way, I am very happy to do!) However, I am feeling like the streams are lacking a little bit of…spunk, ingenuity, excitement…whatever you want to call it. SO, in the comments section below, I want to know 2 things-

1) Are there any songs you want us to play? Stephanie and I are open books and trained musicians, so if we can’t figure it out in the moment, we can certainly have it ready for you at the next show!

2) What would you like to se from us, regarding the show? Is there anything you would improve! Ideas to add excitement? Would anyone be interested in promo giveaways? (We don’t have much to give away, but we do have merchandise, which might be interesting.)

Let us know what you think below!

Finally, I’ve been continually working on new content for my next original album, which I’m very excited to get together and begin that process…BUT the other day, I had an idea for a cover album of train songs-slow trains, fast trains, sad trains, bluesy trains- all put together under one record, with beautiful musicianship and original ideas. I have a song list together now, but there are plenty of other details to work through before I surge ahead. I think it would be a smashing hit-would you listen to something like that! Let me know by contacting me! I’d love to hear from you!

Until next week, stay 6 feet apart, and don’t drink any bleach, or get a sunburn from UV light!
